Amorolfine 5% w/v is used to treat: Fungal infections of the nails without the involvement of the nail root (nail matrix) Fungal infections affecting up to 2 nails and affecting the upper half or sides of the nail (as shown in the first picture below). If the infection appears to be more like pictures 2 or 3; you should consult your doctor. The active substance in Amorolfine 5% w/v is amorolfine (as the hydrochloride) which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals. Amorolfine 5% w/v kills a wide variety of fungi that can cause nail infections. Fungal nail infection is likely to result in discoloured (white, yellow, or brown), thick or brittle nails, although their appearance can vary considerably.

Avoid contact with eyes, ears, or mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
How to apply:
File the affected nail(s) and clean the surface. Apply Amorolfine Nail Lacquer to the entire nail using the applicator provided. Allow to dry.
Frequency:
Apply once a week to the affected nail(s). Continue use until the infected area is fully replaced by healthy nail growth.
Aftercare:
Wash hands thoroughly after use. Replace the cap tightly to avoid evaporation of the lacquer.

Visible improvement in the nail can take several months, as healthy nail growth must replace the infected nail. Treatment may take up to 6 to 12 months for complete recovery.
It is recommended to avoid using cosmetic nail polish during treatment, as this can reduce the effectiveness of the lacquer.
