Description

Nurofen Plus combines two active ingredients: ibuprofen (200mg), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and pain, and codeine phosphate (12.8mg), an opioid analgesic that alters the body's response to pain. This combination is effective for short-term relief of acute, moderate pain such as migraines, headaches, period pain, dental pain, back pain, neuralgia, rheumatic pain, muscular pain, and symptoms of cold and flu, especially when other painkillers like paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin alone have not provided adequate relief.

Warnings

Do not take if you:

  • Have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation, or bleeding.
  • Are allergic to ibuprofen, codeine, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any of the ingredients.
  • Have breathing difficulties or chronic constipation.
  • Are taking other NSAID painkillers, or aspirin with a daily dose above 75mg.
  • Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
  • Are under 12 years old.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you:

  • Have asthma, liver, kidney, heart, or bowel problems.
  • Have a thyroid disorder or head injury.
  • Have low blood pressure.
  • Are in the first 6 months of pregnancy.

Codeine can cause addiction if used continuously for more than 3 days. Taking a painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make them worse. Do not exceed the stated dose. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

How to use:

  • Adults, the elderly, and children over 12 years: Take 1 or 2 tablets with water every 4 to 6 hours as required.
  • Do not exceed 6 tablets in any 24-hour period.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.
  • Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
